Nominating Committee: Serious decisions may need to be made within the next 2 months regarding this and its resolve if we don't come up with a full slate.
Our club has been without a President-Elect this year.  We also know that Bill Tetro will not be our treasurer next year. (he has served for 2 terms, and so has Kay Brejcha as Secretary) The board is concerned about a full slate of officers for the coming year.  Suggestions/volunteers would be appreciated.

However, Larry Benton brought up at the March meeting that we should have the current Board continue into a second year. This is possible, however, we still will need: Secretary, Treasurer, and (2) 2 year At Large. Brian and Todd will move to one year, and Bill G. and Aaron will be done with their term.

Minutes of March 4, 2021 General Meeting
Of
Show-Me Cosmopolitan Club

Sixteen Cosmopolitan members met at the Cosmo Building for the March meeting.  Each member brought their own dinner for this meeting.
The meeting was called to order by President Tim Echternach.
Treasurer’s report:
Bill Tetro gave the treasurer’s report and answered questions.
Contributions Committee report:
Brett Benton explained the money for contribution requested by each of the recipients.  Each group had specific needs the money was needed for.
Recommended contributions:
                Hickory Hill                                $500.00
                Ronald McDonald House              $484.00
                Rainbow House                           $500.00
                Pediatric Diabetic Center              $500.00
Bill Giddings made a motion that we release the funds recommended by the committee.  Dayton Shepherd seconded the motion.  The motion passed.
Fundraisers:
Bingo:  It was reported that Bingo may occur as early as April.
Ready for Spaghetti:  Was discussed in great detail.  We realize this is a joint effort.  Sara Echternach will coordinate with the other club.  She is the chairperson for our club.  Brett Benton verified that we can have the use of the building on April 30th.  The decision to have the dinner as in the past, or just a drive thru or both was discussed.  Sara will gather a group to form a committee and make final decisions.
Also - see below the Scrip account when you buy a gift card. Any questions, ask Kay Brejcha.
MO-KAN Convention:
Dayton reminded us of the date – June 4th and 5th.
Larry gave an overview of activities.  Sounds like lots of fun.  The cost is $125.00.
We will need delegates for the convention.
Officers for next year:
Tim emphasized the need for nominees. (see above)

Board of Directors Meeting
March 23, 2021

President Tim Echternach called the Zoom meeting to order.

Attendance:

Those in attendance: Brett Benton, Kay Brejcha, Sara Echternach, Tim Echternach, Bill Giddings, Bryan McNeill, Elaine McCoy, Bill Tetro, and Aaron Zaner.

Hall of Fame:

The nominees from the Hall of Fame committee are Bill Johnson, John Kadlec and Elaine Rehmer. Tim will send the biographical information to the board members after the meeting. All members are to read the information and email their vote to Tim by Saturday, the 27th by 5:00pm. ( Tim sent the total to Larry Benton the next night) Brett gave a report and offered to read the bio’s, but it was decided to email the information. There was a short discussion giving some background about each of the candidates since most of the board only knows one of the candidates. The nominee will be presented to the general membership at the April meeting for a final vote.

Ready for Spaghetti:

Ready for Spaghetti will be held April 30, 2021 from 4:30 to 7:30. It will be a drive thru only. Sara Echternach and Judy Weitkemper are working together and the report indicated many details that have been worked out or looked into. This committee will be meeting once a week until the dinner. We will need work crews from 3:00 to 4:30pm for set up; 4:30pm to 7:30 pm to serve; and 7:30pm to 9:00pm for clean-up. The committee would like for all members to try to donate one hour of time.

April meeting date change:

Second Thursday, April 8th. The date for the April meeting has been changed in hopes of more people attending. We will meet at the Country Club if that date is available. If not, there was strong agreement that we need to meet, so we will meet at the building if needed. If we meet at the building each member would need to bring their own meal. (We discussed having the meal catered at the building and decided against it at this time). Kay Brejcha will be the speaker representing the Miracles 4 Margaret Foundation.

Treasurer’s report:

Bill Tetro gave a short treasurer’s report. The check register balance is $6,124.86. Bill also received information giving the dates for International for June not July. This will affect the balance beginning July 1 for the new year. Bill and Tim are looking into this to make sure it was not a typo.

MO-KAN Convention:

We will need delegates. Please be thinking about this opportunity. The MO-KAN Convention is in Columbia, June 4th and 5th, and we hope several from our club will be in attendance.

International Nominations: ?

Meeting was adjourned.
