10/30 - Halloween party

Members and guests of all three Cosmo clubs in Columbia are invited to a Halloween party from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cosmopolitan Building.

11/1 - General meeting

The November meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Columbia Country Club. Social time is at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dale Roberts of the Columbia Police Officers Association.

11/10 - Progressive dinner

A sign-up sheet will be available at the Nov. 1 general meeting for this Show-Me Cosmo club event. Three homes will host guests from 5 to 8 p.m.

11/25 - Holiday decorations

Members of all three Cosmo clubs in Columbia are urged to join the fun in decorating the Cosmo Building for the holidays. A potluck dinner will be served afterward.

11/27 - Board meeting

The Show-Me Cosmo board of directors will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Cosmo Building.

What a Walktoberfest!

Walktoberfest chair Rose La Mantia, center, leads more than 90 walkers along the route of the 13th annual Walktoberfest on Oct. 21 at Cosmopolitan Park in Columbia. The event raised approximately $9,000 for three board-approved organizations that fight diabetes: Cosmopolitan Diabetes and Endocrinology Center, Camp Hickory Hill, and Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology at the MU Health Care Women's and Children's Hospital.
